I know I whine a lot about wanting to garden, but I don’t want you to think there is nothing here in the yard.
Spring is starting to take hold and the flowering trees are ready to blossom.
Deb’s Mother’s bleeding heart looks great and I found 2 narcissus (narcissi?).
We had ground frost last weekend and still get frost warnings every day. I suspect they are more relevant to the higher elevations on the Island. Well I hope so anyway.
People ask what my growing season is here – and, frankly, I’ll be damned if I know. It’s certainly shorter than I’m used to, but that just means I need to start things in pots and use a hoop house for vegetables.
I am focused on the indoors but still fantasize about the garden. This probably explains all the seeds that keep arriving in the mail. π
I love that bleeding heart β€

“Narcissi”. Just like the ones my great-grandmother used to have…AND the bleeding hearts. Beautiful pictures.
