A Bomb eh?

I’m trying not to bore you too much with weather stuff but it’s probably worth mentioning that the windchill this morning was -27C (16F). This is only temporary and, luckily for us, it should warm up considerably over the next 24 hours. I have a lot to do.

You may have heard that a Bomb Cyclone is expected to arrive on Saturday. It is actually supposed to affect much of the North-east US as well – however I looked at Ahuva’s forecast and they’re only calling for her to get 6 inches of snow. We are expecting at least 2 feet. I don’t think that’s fair but unfortunately I have no control over this. 🙂

I’m preparing as if the worst models are correct and assuming the power will go out. I have lots of supplies, will make sure the firewood racks are filled, will charge all my devices, am going to bake bread and make some chili. The wood stove and battery operated lights will take care of the rest.

If you don’t hear from me for a couple of days, don’t worry. I’ll be warm and cozy and reading a book. The biggest problem will be convincing Fish he can poop with his bum buried in a snowbank. 🙂
