I have to go split some more wood – so this will be brief. I’ve mentioned before that people keep giving me the signs to look for as a winter forecasting tool. The height of wasp nests and the number of apples on the trees are just two.
Well. The other day on the Breakwater I was told not to count the number of foggy days in August. Why? He said it would just depress me. Apparently he was taught from childhood that every day of fog this month meant another big winter storm would be coming. We’ve had a lot of fog this year.
I need to get that wood ready. Once my body tells me it’s time to quit for the day I’ll make lunch. There are a couple of cooked lobsters in the fridge which need to be broken down. 🙂
