Even if I’m Not Paying Attention

So yes, I’ve been a bit preoccupied for weeks with my house, and now this Tournament, the Island is still managing to get things done without my supervision. πŸ™‚

I present you here with evidence of two such projects. You’ll remember that ruin of a Fish Plant/store at Jacksons Breakwater which burned down spectacularly in October of last year. This resulted in even more of a mess than there was to begin with. Well, it has now been cleaned up. It might not be pristine, but it’s a darn sight better than it has been.

In addition, that house I showed you last summer which required relocation (in spite of many predictions of disaster given how “out of square” it had become in the process of preparing it to be hauled away) has in fact found a new home.

I am still spending much of my time enjoying World Cup. The animals all begin the day settling down in cozy spots around me prepared to enjoy naps and occasional bouts of annoying one another. Then I start yelling at the television and they all disappear.

I’m really enjoying these games – I mean, we’re talking about getting to see most of the best players in the world doing what they love. However, there is one thing that is niggling at me.

I don’t remember my stress level being this high during previous World Cups. The Croatia/Japan match yesterday might have found my limit for tension. If the problem is age I don’t know what I’ll do in four years. Maybe I’ll ask my friend Ahuva for some of her Tension Tamer Tea. πŸ™‚
